in the details, darling | September 2019 Goals

August came and went in the blink of an eye! I always want to take in all the moments BUT September is one of my favorite months + kicks off my absolute favorite time of year! I love the start to fall + how that leads into the holiday season! It’s just the best.

This month I have:

  • A full schedule of client work + systems set-ups 🎉

  • Completing my rebrand

  • Joining a couple of podcasts

  • Traveling to Michigan to celebrate my niece’s 1st birthday + consume all the cider doughnuts as possible!

  • Jack + I will be celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary

  • Preparing for our upcoming European vacation!

  • Hitting all the cute coffee shops I can find

It’s going to be a great month + I am thankful to sit down, revisit the last month, and look at what’s ahead because, more than anything, I need it. As much as I try not to, I certainly do get caught up in the day to day, trying to serve others the best I can, + trying to take care of our little household. I get caught up in crossing off the to-dos, still to the best of my ability, but it’s like I am constantly multi-tasking. This past Saturday was the first Saturday in what I can remember that I actually sat + sipped a latte without having my computer open. I actually finished the hot latte before it actually became cold. Crazy, right?

So, if you’re feeling that, too, I am right there with you. We’ve got this, though! When our mind isn’t running a miles a minute beautiful things happen!

Let’s get started with my August goals recap + September goals below:

AUGUST RECAP

  1. FRIDAYS ARE ME DAYS! I held true to this for 2/4 Fridays + it’s been my best month yet for it! Typically I work on my business BUT one Friday I actually took a nap, meal prepped, did things for my family. It was so needed + as I start working closer and closer to 4/4, I am confident it will only increase my productivity!

  2. Start a new workout class! I didn’t accomplish this – I will definitely achieve this in the upcoming future!

  3. One date a week with Jack! We did! We are trying to eat out less…insert HelloFresh! It’s helped us have a fresh, home cooked meal, + actually sit down and eat together weekly. I also have been making breakfast on the weekends so our coffee dates are absolutely sacred to me! We do have pizza Fridays in our house so that’s a fun tradition to kick off the weekend! Designating qt for us the past few months has been a game changer – we love it so much!

SEPTEMBER GOALS

  1. No alarm snoozing on the weekdays! The past two weeks, I haven’t been snoozing my alarm + it has made SUCH a difference in my productivity. I am going to actually make this a point of emphasis + enjoy my extra time with some quiet time with my thoughts.

  2. Reach out to friends, family, colleagues, etc. when I think of them. Going back to the multi-tasking comment + how much I have been consumed in my little world of “work” has meant I have been slacking at actually checking in on the people I hold near + dear to my heart so that’s going to change this month! I think of them often so when I do, I am going to take action!

  3. Full revisit of my systems! I do this once a month regularly but need to do a bit more deeper dive into it! This is my favorite topic so looking forward to it!

Have a great start to September! Wishing you a month of cozy, productivity, + balance…whatever that means to you!
