Are you in desperate need of a vacation but, as a small business owner, think it is easier + less stressful for you to just immerse yourself in work? I am excited to share with you my exact strategy for preparing to take time off! After implementing these changes, along with the systems I have in place, I was able to take a stress-free week off + that month also happened to be my highest in revenue.

When we started to brainstorm on destinations, we had upwards of 15 that sounded great. It ranged from secluded, to bustling cities, to staying in the states to going to Asia. We were all over the map (pun intended) and that is when we decided LETS NOT DECIDE!

My brother was in town and so why not a quick trip to one of the most special places in the world! One aspect that I LOVE about Charlotte is that there are so many great places to visit in a short car distance away. Charleston was Drew’s choice and off we went!

Jack and I were chatting this week that a year ago, this weekend, we were in NYC doing as many Christmas activities as possible. I had a work engagement so Jack “tagged” along as he had never been to NYC. I had visited a few times but always in the summer months and I have always been told that it is truly magical during the holiday season. Magical is right!

Well once he started talking there was no question what was happening and honestly my mind went blank! Thank goodness the only words needed from me was “yes” otherwise we may have been in trouble! He got down on one knee on the most beautiful day in Paris and asked me to marry him. No question in my mind and I am so excited to marry him and be his wife!
